Tama Ma

Tama Ma: contemporary New Zealand Maori dance at its best. This five act autobiographical dance journey was powerfully performed by New Zealand dance icons Taane Mete and Taiaroa Royal. Featuring the work of leading choreographers Douglas Wright and Michael Parmenter - the first time the celebrated skills of these two choreographers were presented in the same show.

Taane Mete and Taiaroa Royal premiered Tama Ma at Tempo Dance Festival (Auckland) in 2008; they performed to sell -out crowds and rave reviews. The work has toured 7 centres in New Zealand and is making inroads into Australia with Perth in late Nov 2010 and Brisbane in March/April 2011.
