Steven Berkoff's Decadence is a brilliantly entertaining satire of the English class system. With merciless style and wit, Berkoff tells the stories of upper class Steve and Helen (who live a life of carefree indulgence) and working class Les and Sybil (desperately trapped by their working class values).
Decadence was a showcase for the exceptional talents of Michael Lawrence and Jennifer Ward-Lealand, who made the most of its provocative and raunchy content, exciting language, physical acting and laugh-out-loud humour.
This sophisticated production was directed by Paul Gittins, with lighting design by Andrew Malmo and design by John Parker.
