Venue requirements
The show suits a theatre style venue of 100 - 1000 seats.
Staging
Clear raised stage required, with black-box masking. Show set can be tailored to fit almost any size stage.
Set
Largely props based: Sofa, armchair, coffee table, fridge, bench, toaster, microwave. Floor cloth 4 x 8m. Miscellaneous small props. (Note: Furniture/appliances could be sourced locally to reduce freight. Originally used furniture from the Silo Theatre green room).
Lighting
100 luminaires: 40 Fresnels, 30 Zoom Spot Profile wide, 30 Zoom Spot Profile medium.
Strand 500 or 300 series lighting desk preferred. Operating position FOH with clear view of stage.
Sound
Standard FOH system with CD player, operation from lighting position.
Other
Dressing rooms (x2) required.
Pack in
2 Days with opening performance on the evening of the second day. Two lighting technicians required for rig and focus (10hrs), one mechanist for set installation (3hrs).
Pack out
Approx. 3 hr.
Company
Pack-in: Six persons - Director, Lighting Designer, Production Manager, operator, actors x2
Season: Three - Two actors, one lighting/sound operator/stage manager.
Travel and accommodation
Ex-Auckland by rental vehicle within 5hrs drive and/or airplane, including all transfers, excess luggage, freight. Minimum 3-star accommodation for 6 (then 3) persons in four rooms.
Freight
Set travels in a large cargo van (can be driven by the production manager) or by cargo truck. Not packaged. Could travel in 10' container.
Marketing and publicity
The company has images and copy suitable for marketing and publicity purposes. Hirer is responsible for marketing and publicity of event.
Silo Theatre is to be acknowledged on all publicity material.
Company to be provided with archival copies of publicity and marketing material.
General
Ten complementary tickets for opening night, four per subsequent performance, are to be made available for use by the company.
